A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in a street in Orange on Tuesday evening, the Orange Police Department said.

The man was hit by a red sedan traveling south around 7 p.m. near the 1900 block of North Tustin Street, the Police Department reported. Paramedics responded and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, the Police Department said. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision, police said.
